I've Been Away

Hey there everyone!

I hope that all of my loyal blog readers have been doing well and are having a wonderful holiday season, I know for the most part I have been.

I've haven't posted in almost a month! I can't even believe it. I haven't been reading much either lately, with the holiday and also had the flu once, for about a week, which meant in turn more work, less sleep, reading, and blogging time available. But I'm hoping to be back. There's just one glitch: my poor laptop has some sort of virus and I've been trying to stay off of it until I can get it properly fixed. My addiction to computer time is sad, and I'm often found sitting on the couch staring into a vast nothingness....

Though, I will say, lack of computer has started another addiciton: All in the Family....but that's another story for another post.

What I have read since last posting: The Crying Tree by Naseem Rakha.
I absolutely loved this book. I think it's a big part of the reason I've not been reading much since I finished it. Naseem Rakha's story just wouldn't let me go. I still find myself thinking about it. If this is on your TBR list my friends...read it tomorrow! If it's not, put it there.
My copy went so quick on Paperbackswap.com I completely forgot to write a review of it. I'm ashamed of myself really, but I'm glad that someone else is getting a chance to be taken away by this sad story.
I'm currently reading The Fourth Queen by Debbie Taylor. It's slow going, but I'm in it. I did unfortunately spill hot coco on my copy last night...I need a more reliable nightstand....luckily I have a hardback copy and I actually left the dust jacket on, so I don't think there is too much damage.
That's pretty much it for reading. Other things I've been into lately...Twitter. Craig Ferguson talks so much about 'the twitter' that I had to go and make my account more useful (Yes, I take my lead from celebrity's it seems...) Thanks to my friend Sari over at The View From Sari's World I'm learning to use twitter even better, and I think that I may have the hang of it. I wish that I had a cell phone that I could use it from easier, but for now, I'm doing well.
Oh, and go ahead and click on that link up there. Sari has a couple of contests going on that I think you'll enjoy....
So, that's my update post. I can make no garuntee's that I'll be any more active in the upcoming weeks, with Christmas coming, and a computer virus. But I'll try. Please follow me on twitter so I can learn even better how to use it. I now know what RT means and I do it often....hopefully I'm using it the right way LOL.

  1. Well I'm sure all my blogging makes up for you not blogging since I average about forty or more a week although I am thinking about sending one of the blogs to the wood chipper.

I suck at acronyms but I do know what RT means which is something. Twitter is a challenge since I'm a babbler but in a pinch there's always Twitlonger to help me out when I need to go longer.

The next time I go to the library I'll see if I can find this book. I'm trying to finish up a few series that I've never finished.

Good luck with getting the problem with your laptop. Computers can be such temperamental creatures. I'm just glad Herbie stopped bouncing. There's some weirdness going on with Google Chrome.
