Flirting With Pete by Barbara Delinsky

Today's book review comes not from I, Sharyla, but from Kaylee. Kaylee is an avid reader (aren't we all?) and reads a lot more than I do. If you watched the video blog you'll know that this girl carries books in all places: work, home, bathroom, car. She tends to write down half reviews in a notebook and never quite get back to them. I think they are good, and I think you'll agree. So, every once in a while I'm going to force her to throw a review at me so that I can post it for all of you! I think this forced co-blogging thing is going to work out just fine.

Flirting With Pete by Barbara Delinsky

ISBN: 978-074-324-6422

Pages: 368

A young psychologist has never met her famous psychologist father. At his funeral she finds out that his private estate (worth over 1.2 million!) has been left to her with no explanation. As her joint practice is crumbling, it seems like her fathers gift has been sent from heaven.

But, this gift from an absent father is almost too much to handle. Her mother has been in a coma for many years, and she has no one to turn to for support.

After meeting her staff and finally settling into her reluctantly received gift, and new office (which use to be her fathers) she find a piece of a manuscript that leads her on a wild goose chase.

And--

The gardener is beckoning and a love affair is started quickly.

I don't want to ruin it for anyone so I'll just say this was a really good book and in fact, I just gave it to my sister to read. I love how the book is based on a case study of a suspected client. I am a fan of Barbara Delinsky anyway, but this particular book was passed from my mother, to my grandmother and then to me. So, it's a highly recommended book to say the least!

  1. I would just love it if a relative left me money but I'm pretty sure they are all broke but who knows maybe there's one out there just ready to kick off with me in the will. I think I've read her before but I can't think of the name of the book.

I carry around a book most of the time too. I even read while I'm walking. If I had a tub I'd bring a book into the bathroom with me although I've done that in the past.
