Happy New Year!!!!
I hope that everyone has planned exactly what they want, as I am aware that some people want to get out and about and party...and some would rather just stay home and read.
I will not be able to go into the new year with a fresh start reading wise. I'll still be reading Russell Brand's My Booky Wook 2 in 2011. Afterwards though, I'm looking very much forward to getting started on all of the challenges that I have joined. I think that I'll be starting a book called Afterlife when I'm done with my current read. This book will be one for the challenge that The Booksoulmates are hosting. After that I think I'll be doing one for my TBR challenge. After that, well...we'll see where the challenges take me.
What are your reading plans for the new year? Anything new to you? For instance, my big new thing this year was to join many challenges, hosted by other bloggers.
I guess I should also talk about the books that I did read during 2010. Here are my Top 5 from the year of 2010 (only 5 because most of this year was a 'slump' for me):
5. Pope Patrick by Peter De Rosa
4. Heart with Joy by Steve Cushman
3. Dance with the Devil by Sherrilyn Kenyon
2. The Crying Tree by Naseem Rakha
1. Lamb by Christopher Moore
I'm not sure what it says about my reading year when my number one read for the year was a reread. I enjoyed many of the books I read this year, but...somehow I just didn't have it in me to read more. My new years resolution is:
Have a better reading year!
Happy New Year to you as well!
ReplyDeleteThe challenges I am participation in are Off The Shelf. This means I have to read from my TBR pile only. Next, since I have so many books waiting, I will do the 100 book challenge. Finally, I am hosting our monthly challenge over at Mostlybooks.
