Brought Home 3 New Ones Today

Today was a big spender at Barnes and Noble. I bought 3 new books.

Bella de Jour : Diary of an Unlikely Call Girl by Anonymous
Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea by Chelsea Handler
Utterly Monkey by Neil Laird

Anyone heard of them? Tell me what you thought. I'd love to hear all about it (minus spoilers of course!)

I also brought home two magazines, both of course are book related. One is Romantic Times Review and the other is a new to me titled The New York Review of Books. I'm very excited to delve into them both and am off to do so now.

  1. I heard of "Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea" by Chelsea Handler was hilarious!

  2. It looks pretty funny. I've read the first few pages and it cracked me up a couple of times. It might be just what I need while I'm waiting around for Breaking Dawn .

  3. I have not heard of The New York Times Book Review mag. Sounds great though - any mag about books has my vote, lol!
I came home with 4 books for my daughter, 1 for my son and 1 for myself when we went to Barnes on Sat. I only get up there once a month, so it is usually not a cheap one - and that doesn't even count for ones I purchase on Amazon, lol!

  4. The book review mag (which really is just like a big news paper more than a magazine) is really really hard to read. Big articles. Intelligent articles.

I try hard not to buy online, but bargain books on B&N.com are hard to not buy 25 dollars worth and take the free shipping. But I've done very well in recent months. My big problem is PBS and I've been doing better there as well.
