Now, the evil mage Morg is preparing for his most deadly assault. And this victory would be particularly sweet--for who better to destroy the kingdom than the two who would give anything to save it?

My Grade: A-

If you refer to my last review, which is of the first book in this duology you'll see that I wasn't real happy with the back cover description of the book. The same holds true for this novel.
I loved this book. The characters are well rounded, and move through a variety of emotions. Character's that you hate you end up loving, and character's that you don't like, you end up despising.

This is the type of book that when you finish you feel like you lost a part of yourself.

Why then did I give it only an A-? Mostly because of the author using the same phrases repeatedly. But it was much less prevalent in this book than it was the first.

If you are looking for a completely original story, then this may not exactly be the one for you. It's well written and really grabs you, but it's a prophecy led plot. Which I've read plenty of since I started reading the fantasy genre.

There's also a great love story wrapped up in there. But it's not so forward that a man would feel odd reading it.

If you're looking for a great story and a great novel. I recommend it. Read the first one first, that's a must.
