Feature and Follow!

It's been a while (QUITE a while) since those of us here at A Bookish Wonderland have participated in this hop and I see there are new images and such and I'm pretty psyched. So here goes!

This is a feature that Parajunkee and Allison Can Read thankfully put together so that those of us who are in need/want of followers and need/want to find others who read and write about reading can connect. It's a wonderful service that they do for us and I'm SO glad that they do as I am not the best at pimping 'the blog'.

The question asked this week was: What genre do you avoid at all costs and why?

My answer: Science Fiction. I don't know why really, but I've never been interested in it. When I was a little girl I never dreamed of going into space and while I was always staring at the stars I found myself wondering what they looked like hundreds and even thousands of years ago, not what it would be like to be soaring among them.

Science fiction is frightening to me. I don't want to drive in a flying car, I want to stay on the ground, I want to know what it's like to have to take a horse to 'town' to get my supplies, or maybe have a feud with the clan in the next hill.

I hope you all enjoyed my Feature and Follow post and by the way, congratulations to Booked Out and Fiction Fervor for being the features on the host's blogs! You both have amazing blogs that I can't wait to read more of!

  3. I used to be afraid of science fiction, but Bob talked me into trying at least one book, so I read a Arther C Clark book. I really liked it. Now, I will read scifi if the plot looks interesting.
The one genre I don't read is Western, had enough old time country music growing up.
